Heyo!
I feel like it's been awhile, but I had quite a busy long weekend, which was fantastic, by the way. And this week, I was recovering from 4 days of booze, late nights and lots of poutine.
I was pretty sluggish today, as I actually usually am at the end of a week. Consequently, while I was waiting for the bus, I couldn't muster the energy to find my book in my purse or the desire to even read. I opted for my mp3 player instead. And in retrospect, I definitely stopped appreciating the effects of an upbeat song.
As I was walking up to my apartment, keys at the ready, with big plans of letting myself in and plopping down for the night.
Just as I opened door, my iPod randomly decides that it's time for some Outkast. Do we all remember Outkast? Of course you do! Hey Ya! is definitely *the* Outkast tune, IMHO. And it's a song that will always get me moving. Sure enough I spent the following 5 minutes shaking my booty a la white-girl-who-can't-dance and I gotta say it felt pretty good. It was the closest thing I've had to a workout since... well Monday, but whatever.
All this to say, I think it's important to my sanity and good health that I compile a shake-your-booty playlist for days when I'm feeling lazy, slow - just all around BLAH.
Some other songs I already have in mind; Let it Rock, Forever...
And I'm open to suggestions, people.
{this is glorious, delicious poutine for those of you who might not know it. It's definitely a must-try}
