today, i will...
- not let the neighbour's loud music and pervasive cigarette smoke annoy me.
- finish making my wontons
- not mope around because it's Sunday (which is like a life-long tradition for me)
- do something creative, no matter how uninspiring it is.
- revamp something in my home to satisfy my need for change
- not let the dreary weather get me down
- unclutter my life some
- share with you the coolest pair of jeans

i find myself lacking
I want to write something. I even have a few ideas. But then I get here, write a few lines, think to myself "well, this isn't going anywhere" and delete.
Try again. "Well, no one wants to read about that" and delete.
And again. "Now, how should I put this" and delete...oh wait, no need to delete there. Couldn't even get the words on the page.
Sigh.
I'm a far cry from a "writer", but can I still have writer's block?
I feel like I have something to say, but the words are getting put together right.
I'll chock it up to it being Sunday, and stick to posting pictures with minimal text. Maybe that first sentence will pop into my head like magic while I'm doing the laundry or something. Then - watch out.

when we were children
Dream a dream of fairies, elves and all the magical woodland creatures that existed when we were children.

{I realize that these aren't booties, but I like them and they were on the same website, so I included them. I like the victorian feel of them}

the best pizza ever
This whole meal stemmed from a desire to use my basil plant - pun intended. I'm so proud of not only keeping my plant alive, but actually having it grow and flourish. I had to use the fruits of my labour at least once before the cold settles in. I figured pizza was as good a choice as any.
I put everything I could think of on it and it was the perfect amount.
I skipped the tomato sauce and put fresh spinah leaves instead, sprinkled some mozzarella and goat milk mozzarrella (a revelation), mushrooms, more of the two cheeses, red onions, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, some more cheese, garlic, ham and walnuts (yes, walnuts - from here on out I'm putting walnuts on everything I eat), some more cheese, for good measure. I topped it of with - surprise, surprise - some more cheese only this time I used some parmesan I forgot I had. Stuck it in the oven for 12 minutes, or you can do it on the BBQ. Once it was all finished, I added the fresh basil leaves (which I almost forgot). And voila!
bummed
Here's hoping for an Indian summer!
what's on your playlist?
I was pretty sluggish today, as I actually usually am at the end of a week. Consequently, while I was waiting for the bus, I couldn't muster the energy to find my book in my purse or the desire to even read. I opted for my mp3 player instead. And in retrospect, I definitely stopped appreciating the effects of an upbeat song.
As I was walking up to my apartment, keys at the ready, with big plans of letting myself in and plopping down for the night.
Just as I opened door, my iPod randomly decides that it's time for some Outkast. Do we all remember Outkast? Of course you do! Hey Ya! is definitely *the* Outkast tune, IMHO. And it's a song that will always get me moving. Sure enough I spent the following 5 minutes shaking my booty a la white-girl-who-can't-dance and I gotta say it felt pretty good. It was the closest thing I've had to a workout since... well Monday, but whatever.
All this to say, I think it's important to my sanity and good health that I compile a shake-your-booty playlist for days when I'm feeling lazy, slow - just all around BLAH.
Some other songs I already have in mind; Let it Rock, Forever...
And I'm open to suggestions, people.
happy birthday, mommy!
{Random Christmas picture, but I just love how she looks on this one. On second thougth, I guess it`s not that random, I mean one does get to open gifts on one`s birthday.}
jones soda co.
A cute little garden wedding, very DIY, very rustic with centerpieces in Mason jars, lemonade served in vintage drink dispensers with twinkle lights and tea candles everywhere and personal touches added in all the right places - pictures, mementos and all little things that represent the couple.
A while back, I thought how fun it would be to have glass soda bottles at my not-yet-existent wedding, and how cool would it be if they had a fun and romantic picture of me and my husband-to-be.
Well, after a quick search of the Internet (like type in Jones-Soda-in-Google-and-hit-search-quick), I found out that my idea is reality! You can go on the website and create your own personal bottle!
I'm entirely too excited about this, but I'm not ashamed.
orange and aqua
Don't judge, it's hard to keep track of what was in when when you didn't exists at the time.
